While building the RISE platform for the Idaho Stars project, Kevin saw the need of a basic workforce registry platform that could meet the needs of smaller ECCE communities. The substantial costs associated with developing and maintaining custom registries remain a barrier to some organizations. This challenge pertains to a platform that is vital to successfully managing, understanding, and serving the children in those communities. That is why we are focused on building a Workforce Registry for ECCE at little or no cost to those communities.
We are currently seeking partners within those communities to collaborate in the development and beta testing of the system.
“RISE transformed us from being the gatekeeper of the provider’s information to putting providers in the driver’s seat. They have complete access to and control of their information in the database, plus they drive the steps necessary for their compliance with any part of our system.”
-Malia Woesner, Leadership Director, Idaho STARS project
In collaboration with our partners, Ready! for Kindergarten Idaho and The Children’s Reading Foundation, we are currently in the process of developing a new application designed to manage the READY! For Kindergarten workshops. The Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for this product is scheduled for an early Fall 2023 release, followed by continuous enhancements throughout 2024.
Our goal is to extend access to this product to all READY! For Kindergarten license holders by 2025.
Early Learning Collaboratives play a crucial role in fostering locally-focused solutions and enhancing community engagement. To bolster Early Learning Collaboratives, Ultra Labs has partnered up with the Idaho Association of Young Children (Idaho AEYC) to develop applications that support communities in establishing, overseeing, and gauging the success of Early Learning Collaborates in Idaho.
We are also partnering with the Center for the Study of Social Policy to ensure our application serves as a valuable tool for collaboratives across the country. We are leveraging our work in the Idaho Data Library Project to help collaboratives connect inputs to outcomes. We believe that the combination of the ELC application and the Public Data Library is compelling pairing that will drive successful outcomes for parents and children in the future.
As we move toward more closely aligning outcomes for children with the valuable work being done in the field of Early Childhood education, there is a growing need to support these outcomes with real data. However, the required data is seldom in one place and data-sharing agreements are difficult to navigate.
That is why Ultra Labs is creating a public data library model based on the idea of making data public, available, useful, and useable for everyone. We do not store personally sensitive data in the library, simplifying the process of forging data-sharing agreements among government entities, organizations, and the public. Bringing data together in one centralized location means that the comprehensive information required for 360-degree decision-making is readily accessible and available at all times. This approach has the potential to revolutionize the way we engage with data and make it more accessible and meaningful for all.
